IS200EISBH1AAB is an ISBus board for excitation machines manufactured and designed by General Electric, and is part of the EX2100 series used in General Electric excitation turbine control systems. The Exciter ISBus Board (EISB) is a dedicated communication board for M1, M2, and C controllers. It receives and transmits fiber optic feedback signals, and transmits them to the DSPX controller through the control backplane. It also communicates between DSPX and tool and keyboard ports using RS-232C through backbone connectors. In addition, for redundant excitation machines, EISB includes ISBus interface electronic devices. ISBus is a proprietary communication interface used by General Electric to transmit data between the M1, M2, and C controllers of the exciter. EISB is a single slot 3U high module in the control rack of DSPX. Through the fiber optic connectors on the front panel, it receives current and voltage signals from the generator magnetic field (and exciter, if needed) using an EDCF board.
