DS200PCCAG8A is a power connection card manufactured and designed by General Electric, and is part of the EX2000 series used in General Electric excitation control systems. The DS200PCCA power connection card (PCCA) serves as the interface between the driver control circuit and the SCR power bridge. It uses a pulse transformer to provide gate drive for the SCR bridge. For low to medium power controllers, PCCA includes buffer circuits to manage spikes on AC lines, DC buses, and gate drivers. In higher horsepower controllers, these buffer circuits can be removed from PCCA and placed elsewhere in the system.
