Product Description
Myristic acid
Myristoic acid is also known as tetradecanoic acid. Crystallized from methanol is a white crystalline or lobular waxy solid. It has a faint aroma of wax and milk. It occurs naturally in fish oil, coconut oil, babassu oil, and cottonseed oil. The relative density is 0.8439 (80℃). Melting point 58℃. Boiling point 250.5 ° C (13.3 kpa, 100 mm Hg). Refractive index 1.4305(60℃). Insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol and ether.

Product application
Myristic acid is mainly used as surfactants, spices, lubricants, coatings, printing inks and other additives, metal processing and spice solvents. It is used as raw material of sorbitol fatty acid ester, glycerol fatty acid ester, glycol fatty acid ester and propylene glycol fatty acid ester in non-ionic type. In the cationic form, the hydrochloride or acetate of myristyl amine or dimethyl myristyl amine, in addition to being used as a surfactant, can also be used as a fiber industry assistant, emulsifier and pigment dispersant. In the anionic type, calcium myristate, magnesium, zinc, sodium, etc., used as cosmetic dispersant, emulsifying stabilizer, has good softness to the skin, sodium salt can be used as cosmetic defoamer.
