ICM 720™ Dual Band GNSS Timing Module
The ICM 720 is designed to provide a precise time pulse for the synchronization of 4G/5G base stations, or other systems requiring a precise pulse-per-second (PPS) output. Its 19x19mm surface-mount package makes it ideal for embedding into your host solution. When operating in Over-Determined Timing Mode, the accuracy of pulse per second (PPS) is within 5 nanoseconds of GNSS/UTC. Additionally, the ICM 720 timing module includes many of Protempis’s standard timing features, including Timing Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitor (TRAIM) algorithm, automatic self-survey, and GNSS disciplining of the oscillator to provide an accurate frequency reference.

Backed by Protempis’s 30+ years of experience, the ICM 720 module provides a low-cost, easy to use, highly accurate and reliable GPS timing source for critical infrastructure in various industry verticals such as 5G X-Haul, smart grid, data center, industrial automation and SATCOM networks. The product is also used for calibration services and perimeter monitoring applications.
With integrated Smart GNSS Assurance™ Technology and inherent security features, the ICM 720 offers an industry leading, value-engineered solution for carrier grade resilient timing products. It is designed to meet the resilient timing requirements mandated by 2020 Executive Order (EO) for positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) services.
Protempis’s ICM 720 module is a dual band (L1 and L5) multi-constellation GNSS timing receiver that provides a single RF input for all GNSS bands to simplify host circuitry. Powered by Protempis’s Smart GNSS Assurance™ technology, the timing module offers protection against jamming and hacking of signals with automatic fallback to available GNSS signals (L1 to L5). These capabilities and it's highly accurate timing service provide operators with the ability to meet stringent timing requirements of critical infrastructure, while guarding network synchronization against attacks from hackers.
