The ULV series is a mid size series in the high-end vacuum grade linear motor series. The ULV series is typically used for applications with peak thrust requirements or low heat output, such as lithography and detection.
In longer journeys, ULV coils can be connected and combined to save magnet materials, but still achieve high performance.
When the motor is in a phase loss state at full load, it is in an overcurrent state, i.e. the current exceeds the rated current. The motor will transition from fatigue to stalling, and the line current without phase loss will increase more, causing the motor to quickly burn out.
When the motor is running under light load and the phase is broken, the current of the winding that has not been broken rapidly increases, causing this phase of winding to be burned out due to excessive temperature rise.
The lack of phase operation poses great harm to squirrel cage motors that operate under long-term working conditions. About 65% of accidents in which these motors are burned out are caused by lack of phase operation. Therefore, phase loss protection for electric motors is very important.
