Infineon's 7th generation TRENCHSTOP ™ IGBT is designed specifically for variable frequency industrial drives.
Based on the new micro groove gate technology, higher device controllability can be achieved, which greatly reduces the losses of switching devices in applications, especially in industrial drive applications that typically operate at medium switching frequencies.
Wider product portfolio to meet different application scenarios
The specific product series based on IGBT7 and Emcon7 diode technology are as follows:
The Easy 1B and Easy 2B series can provide PIM configurations with current levels ranging from 10 A to 100 A, as well as six unit configurations;
The Easy 3B series can expand the rich range of Easy products in industrial drive applications to larger current levels: PIM configurations are 50 A, 75 A, and 100 A, and six unit configurations are 100 A, 150 A, and 200 A;
Econo 2 and 3 series, covering a current range of 25 A-200 A;
62mm series, covering current levels of 450A, 600A, and 800A;
EconoDUAL ™ 3 series, covering a current range of 300 A-900 A.

In short, compared to the previous generation of IGBT4 chips, it has higher power density, higher switching frequency, and can reduce system heat dissipation design, making the overall cost of the system more advantageous.

Power level transition: When using IGBT7 with the same package size and system cooling, the current increases by 30%;
