Si2151 is the industry's most advanced hybrid TV tuner, supporting digital and analog TV reception for all global terrestrial and cable TV standards. Utilizing the fifth generation of on-site validated hybrid TV tuner technology, Si2151 provides the same or better RF performance as the Si2157 hybrid TV tuner from Silicon Labs, while further reducing footprint size and material costs.
Si2151 is packaged in an industry-leading 3x3 mm QFN package, eliminating the need for external balancers, LNAs, SAW filters, and induction power filters to provide the lowest cost, most design friendly, and region efficient solution currently available. Although competitive solutions may also eliminate balun, they suffer from NF degradation and second-order distortion, affecting reception. A fully integrated 1.8 V LDO supports single supply operations, while a dual supply option provides additional system flexibility. The harmonic suppression mixer has improved immunity to LTE interference and significant immunity to Wi Fi interference, eliminating the need for external filtering.
For advanced digital broadcasting standards with higher-order constellations, such as DVB-T2 and DVB-C2, Si2151 provides superior integrated phase noise and several dB of reception performance compared to competing solutions. In addition, a software selectable cable mode provides optimized return losses.
Compared to other silicon tuners, Si2151 provides excellent image quality and more receiving stations. Si2151 combines the global on-site experience of previous five generations of hybrid tuners, providing the highest tolerance for real-world reception conditions.
