TRICONEX 3003 Invensys Optical Line Terminal Equipment
As we have already discussed, the optical line terminal equipment is located in the central office. But the Optical network terminals, abbreviated as ONT, is located in the user area itself.
Its function is to establish an optical connection between the network and the end user. ONT has the ability to provide comprehensive telecommunications services based on the needs of end users.
The TRICONEX 3003 can be a simple box outside the end user's house or connected to an indoor electronic rack. When installed in an electronic rack, it determines the receiving end of each multiplexed data. Thus providing the original transmitted information to the desired location.
OLT and TRICONEX 3003 are both modules of Passive optical network. And it exists in the network to ensure the smooth transmission and reception of data or information.
The optical network unit has a similar purpose, but although it is placed in the user area like ONT, it is still placed in a shelter close to the user area. More specifically, we can say that it is placed in a centralized area of the office building.
TRICONEX 3003 must be sturdy enough to withstand environmental conditions such as temperature changes, as it is placed in an open area.
