The OC2501, a centrifugal oxygen compressor unit in the gas division of a state-owned large petrochemical company, has experienced multiple vibration and tripping incidents since its operation for over a year, seriously threatening the long-term safe operation of the factory and affecting the continuous production of the entire company's related equipment. The main factory of the compressor is a national key equipment production plant, and therefore faces enormous pressure.

The unit is equipped with a 990/991 transmitter from the Bentley Nevada product line using General Electric's detection and control technology. The measured vibration and shaft displacement values are directly sent to the DCS system and provide interlocking protection.
