Introduction

Corundum Mullite castable (also called Corundum Mullite Refractory Castable), which is a kind of popular refractory castable for furnace application in the lining of large power station boiler wear linings and other high temperature furnaces. Corundum mullite castable have good properties of high temperature endurable ability, good thermal shock resistance and structural peeling resistance, good thermal shock resistance, high softening temperature, low creep rate and good chemical corrosion resistance etc.

Corundum mullite castable’s raw material has brown corundum, white corundum, andalusite, mullite and high quality bausite with certain ration of ultrafine powder. In industry field, mullite usually is artificially synthesized with high purity, dense structure, low creep rate, strong erosion resistance and well thermal shock resistance.

Corundum Mullite Castable Refractory can perform high properties such as high crushing strength, high temperature stability, thermal shock resistance, wear and chemical erosion resistance in lining of large power station boiler and other high temperature equipments.

Corundum Mullite Castables are divided into several grades, products with Al₂O₃ ≥ 90% based on corundum phase, products with Al₂O₃ ≥ 70% based on corundum phase and mullite phase, and products with Al₂O₃ ≥ 50% based on mullite phase. Because corundum mullite castables have the following superior properties in the process of high temperature use: high temperature strength, good density modification, good overall structural integrity at high temperature, good wear resistance and erosion resistance, It has strong slag corrosion resistance, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, peeling resistance and no pollution, so it is widely used in electric furnace roof, ladle, garbage incinerator, petrochemical furnace, cement kiln, etc., with good application effect.
