High-alumina brick
High alumina firebrick is a kind of firebrick with high alumina content. This kind of brick belongs to neutral refractory material. Customers can use high aluminum bricks in a variety of industries except for strong acid and alkali environments. In addition, high aluminum refractory bricks also have excellent high temperature and corrosion resistance. In order to illustrate the problem, we introduce the chemical composition of high aluminum refractory brick:
Alumina: Alumina is the main component of high aluminum refractory bricks. In addition, the AL₂O₃ content in high aluminum bricks is usually 45-95%. The higher the alumina content, the higher the refractoriness.
Silica: Silica is usually present as a secondary component in high aluminum bricks. It helps to improve fire resistance and thermal stability. In addition, the silica content in high aluminum bricks is usually less than 15%.
Other additives: High aluminum refractory bricks may contain small amounts of mineralizing agents and fluxes to improve their properties. In addition, the specific composition and dosage of these additives depends on the desired properties of the firebrick.
