German technical background VOK®-556F rheological additive

VOK®-556F is an ethylene-vinyl wax copolymer wax dispersion without benzene solvent, which can improve the orientation effect of metal pigments in the coating film.

Composition: ethylene-vinyl wax copolymer

Appearance: white flowing paste

Solvent: n-butyl acetate/n-butanol

Specific gravity: about 0.86

Non-volatile: 5.5-6.5%

Main characteristics

Improve the directional effect of metal pigments, such as aluminum powder, mica pearlescent powder, etc

Enhance the flash effect of metallic paint

Slow down the sedimentation of pigment in the container

Application field: aluminum powder paint

Addition amount and use method

Add 80-150% aluminum paste. Please test the optimum amount before use

VOK®-556 Stir at high speed for 15-30 minutes and use after filtration

VOK®-556F must be added before CAB

It is recommended that VOK®-556F is mixed with aluminum slurry and added into the mixed paint system

Operation and safety

In case of drying, scaling, caking and other phenomena caused by lax sealing of wax slurry, the dried part shall be removed to avoid dispersion difficulties

Please test the compatibility with the paint system before use

Due to the high thixotropy of this product, the upper and lower viscosity may be found to be uneven during storage, which is a normal phenomenon. Before use, please mix it evenly and use the whole barrel as much as possible

This product contains solvent, so be careful to avoid contact with skin and eyes. For other information, please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet

Place in a cool and ventilated place, keep the container tight and away from heat and fire sources

The storage environment is 0 to 40 ℃ (The product is soft wax at 0 ℃, please return to 25 ℃ before use.)

Containers containing products shall not be directly exposed to heat radiation
