The Video Passenger Counter (VPC) is an electronic device available for installation on transit vehicles including buses which accurately records boarding and alighting data.This technology can improve the accuracy and reliability of tracking.
1)What is the working principle of our video people counter?
Answer:The counter judges the human’s number by caputuring the human characteristics parameters, such as head, shoulders, and people’s walking way etc. By this way,it can accurately determineand distinguish the difference between people and luggages. The algorithm is much more superior than that of infrared counter, greatly reducing the misjudagement rate.
2)How does video traffic statistics work?
Answer:Our counter starts to count when door is open or when GPS speed is below 8Km / H (There will be 2 lines showing on the screen of counter’s AV output port) . The device stops counting when the door is closed or when the speed is over 8Km / H. The statistical data will be recorded and saved in the SD card or hard disk. At the same time, it takes inititive to send out the data through the serial por. If the device is connected with server, it will also take the initiative to send this data to server.
3)What are the benefits of people counting video camera?
When tracking passenger traffic,you would want a solution that is going to be as accurate as possible.And people counter video camera are more accurater than Infrared sensor,Thermal sensor and Image Sensor.The only non-video camera sensor in the market that can match our accuracy rates is Dor's people counting technology.Dor uses machine learning algorithms to increase its accuracy.

Therefore, this does not infringe on any privacy of the guests.
