Product Description
According to foreign media reports, the American Standard for electric vehicle cables has released the latest standard UL2263, and the original UL62 standard will be replaced.
UL2263 mainly has 6 models, namely EVJ EV; EVJE EVE; EVJT EVT
Group 1: Thermoset insulation Type: EVJ EV
Type EVJ— Rated 300 V, contains two to six 18-12 AWG thermoset-insulated circuit conductors, and may employ one or more insulated grounding conductors. The cable may contain hybrid data, signal, communications, and/or optical fiber cable in any AWG size.
Model EVJ 300V (diameter of power supply: 18-12 AWG): The insulating materials used are mainly thermosetting materials (such as EP, CR, CSM, CPE, etc.)
Type EV — Rated 1000 V, contains two or more 18 AWG to 500 kcmil thermoset-insulated circuit conductors, and may employ one or more insulated grounding conductors. The cable may contain hybrid data, signal, communications, and/or optical fiber cable in any AWG size.
Model EV 1000V (power supply wire diameter: 18-500 kcmil): The insulating materials used are mainly thermosetting materials (such as EP, CR, CSM, CPE, etc.)
Remarks: Commonly used thermosetting materials are: CR (polychloroprene, neoprene), CSM (chloro-sulphonyl-polyethylene, chlorosulfonyl polyethylene),
CPE (chlorinated polyethylene chlorinated polyethylene) EP (ethylene propylene rubber, ethylene propylene rubber)
Group 2: Thermoplastic Elastomer Insulation Type: EVJE EVE
Type EVJE— Rated 300 V, same as Type EVJ except that the cable employs thermoplastic-elastomer-insulated conductors and jacket.
Model EVJE 300V (power supply wire diameter: 18-12 AWG): The insulating material used is mainly thermoplastic elastomer material (such as TPE, etc.)
Type EVE — Rated 1000 V, same as Type EV except that the cable employs thermoplastic-elastomer-insulated conductors.
Model EVE 1000V (diameter of power supply wire: 18-500 kcmil): The insulating material used is mainly thermoplastic elastomer material (such as TPE, etc.)
Group 3: Thermoplastic insulation Model: EVJT EVT
