Silicon steel sheet Silicon steel is a kind of ferrosilicon alloy. The sheet rolled with silicon steel is a soft magnetic material
widely used in the field of electrical engineering, so silicon steel sheet is also called electrical steel sheet. Silicon steel
sheets, known in English as Silicon Steel sheets, is a kind of ferrosilicon soft magnetic alloy with very low carbon content,
generally containing 0.5 ~ 4.5% silicon. The addition of silicon increases the resistivity and permeability of iron and reduces the coercivity, core loss (iron loss) and magnetic aging. Silicon steel sheet is used in motors, generators, transformers, choke coils, electromagnetic mechanisms, relays and measuring instruments.

permeability, and a higher magnetic induction value under a certain magnetization field. The silicon content of oriented silicon steel is about 3%. It also requires a low content of oxide inclusions in the steel and must contain certain inhibitors (MnS, A1N).

Cold rolled thin oriented silicon steel strip is made of 0.30 or 0.35mm thick oriented silicon steel strip by pickling, cold
rolling and annealing.

The cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel sheet is hot rolled into strip rolls of about 2.3mm thickness.
Cold rolled electrical steel strip has the characteristics of smooth surface, uniform thickness, high stacking coefficient, good blanking, and higher magnetic induction and lower iron loss than hot rolled electrical steel strip. The weight and volume of a motor or transformer manufactured with cold strip instead of hot strip can be reduced by 0-25%.

If the cold rolled oriented belt is used, the performance is better, and it can replace the hot rolled belt or low grade cold
rolled belt, which can reduce the power consumption of the transformer by 45%-50%, and the transformer performance is more reliable.
