Made of stainless steel 304/316 for resistance to corrosion and high temperatures

Investment casting offers unlimited freedom in design and material choices. Typical applications can be found in the automotive, pump, and food industry, architecture, and general industrial engineering

2 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:

  2. Casting surface roughness: Ra 0.4 μm

  3. Maximum dimensions: 500 x 500 x 500 mm

  4. Casting wall thickness: ≥ 3 mm, locally 1.5 mm can be reached

  5. Angle tolerances: ± 1°

  6. The geometric tolerances that are required for the function should be specified in the drawing

Investment Casting

 Die-Casting Sand-Casting Lost Foam Forging
1. Low volume production runs are cheaper as tooling is less costly. 1. Tooling costs are far higher, only cost-effective for very large volumes. 1. High cost in large production runs. 1. Processing costs are higher due to scrap costs, shell building, and pattern handling. 1. Tooling costs are far higher.
