Kochia scoparia

Chinese medicine name. It is a spheroidal five-pointed star with a diameter of 1 to 3 mm. Perianth is persistent, with gray-green or light brown surface, 5 membranous winglets around it, and 5 to 10 micro-protruding punctate fruit stalks and radial veins in the center of the back; the perianth is peeled off, and the membranous texture is visible. Peel, translucent. The seeds are flat ovoid, about 1mm long, black. Slight smell, slightly bitter taste. It is the dried and mature fruit of Kochia scoparia of Chenopodiaceae.
