Introduction:
“MR-50 Radiation Detector” is the instrument for health and safety, and measures the low-level radiation. It measures α, β, γ and x.
The application fields include:
l Detect and measure the surface contamination
l Monitor the possible radiation of the place near the radionuclide
l Assess the environment pollution
l Detect the rare gas and other low-energy radionuclide
Detector profile:
“MR-50 Radiation Detector” uses 1 piece of 2-inch Geiger tube, and it is called “Scone tube” generally. In the back of the instrument, the screen is called the window. It allows the rays which can not be through the plastic box and low-energy β, γ rays to penetrate into the mica surface of Geiger tube.
2.Functional units:
This chapter describes the functions of “MR-50 Radiation Detector” radiation detector
Display interface:
LCD shall display the different indication value according to the mode setting, including the functional operation and battery status indication value.
Digital display (A) display the current amount of radiation.
l A hourglass mark (B) will appear in Cal (calibration) mode or timing mode.
l CAL(C) shows calibration.
l Battery indication (D) occur the lower left corner of the screen, and it indicates low voltage.
l A alarm starting mark (E) will appear when the alarm limit value is not 0.
l A buzzer starting mark (F) will appear when start the buzzer.
l A average time starting mark (G) will appear when the average time value is not 0.
l A peak holding mark (H) will appear when HOLD button opens the peak holding mode.
l SET(I) indicates the status of the set value in the menu.
l When measure unit (J)---CPM, CPS, mR/hr or μSv/hr – appear on the right.
l Cumulative TOTAL(K) will appear under Total/Timer mode.
l X10,X1000(L) is appeared, the value should multiply 10 or 100.
l The numerical scale table (M) will display the current amount of radiation by the scale form.
