Hastelloy C276 (UNS N10276 / NS334 / 2.4819) is a Ni Cr Mo alloy with excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing and reducing environments. By reducing the content of C and Si, the alloy controls the precipitation of carbides in the heat affected zone of the heated part during welding, so as to ensure the intergranular corrosion resistance of the heat affected zone of the welded joint and improve the corrosion resistance. High molybdenum content makes the material have high local corrosion (such as pitting) resistance. Hastelloy C276 alloy also has excellent high temperature strength and medium chlorination resistance, but the alloy will lead to high temperature brittleness due to the precipitation of high temperature brittle phase at high temperature.

Hastelloy C276 material is widely used in chemical industry, environmental protection, pulp and paper industry, industrial and urban waste treatment, and the recycling of "acid" natural gas. In terms of air pollution control, it is mainly used in chimney lining, flue, baffle door, desulfurization spray scrubber, reheater of treated flue gas, fan and fan casing. In the chemical field, the equipment and components made of the alloy include heat exchanger, reactor, evaporator and transmission pipeline. The alloy can be manufactured by welding similar to austenitic stainless steel and other nickel base alloys. It should be noted that during equipment manufacturing, the increase of carbon, silicon and other elements in the material should be avoided to reduce the corrosion resistance of the material.
