FREE-VALVE’s plunger piston valves are used for cutting off or connecting the medium of pipelines of various kinds of systems such as petroleum, chemical industry, electric power, etc.
Working principle and Characteristics:
Plunger piston valves are variations of globe valves. Disc and seat are designed basing on the plunger principle.For valves opening and closing manually, valve will close when turning clockwise,valve will open when turning anticlockwise.Driving valve disc will be moved up and down through the lifting motion of stem to reach the opening and closing of the seal ring.
The plunger piston valve belongs to the forced sealing type valve. The plunger and the sealing ring use interference fit. When the plunger enters the sealing ring, the sealing ring is compressed and tightly enveloped against the surface.
At this time, diameter-phase component force produced on sealing ring will be greater than the fluid component force, so as to ensure the tight sealing.
When the plunger is pulled out, the sealing ring is restored to its original state under the elastic action of the material.The sealing ring is made of a new type of non-metallic material , which can withstand long time using on working service.
