Gal-oligosaccharide (GOS) is a natural property of functional oligosaccharides. Its molecular structure is usually galactose or glucose molecules connected with 1~7 Gal, namely Gal-(Gal)n-Glc / Gal(n 0-6). In nature, there is a trace amount of GOS in animal milk, and the content is higher in breast milk. The flora of bifidobacteria in infants largely depends on the GOS components in breast milk. Galactooligosaccharides are the only 8 species of great human gut bacteria available.

GOS (up to about 5 g/100 g) can be added as a soluble fiber to infant formula, powdered milk, biscuits, dairy products, fruit drinks, confectionery, cereal bars or other commercial foods.

Promote the reproduction of bifidobactirium and inhibit the breeding of pathogenic bacteria;
Improve the function of intestine,enhance immunity and resist disease;
Lower blood glucose and reduce blood cholesterol,and is a preferred food in patients with diabetes;
Reduce the occurrence of oral ulceration;
Resistant against tooth decay;
Promote the absorption of minerals.
