Manufacturing Technique
Process of Galvanized Square Pipe
The production process of general galvanized square pipe can be divided into two types: cold drawing and hot rolling.Hot-rolled round pipe billet → heating → perforation → three-roll diagonal rolling, continuous rolling or extrusion → stripping → sizing (or reducing) → cooling → straightening → hydraulic test (or flaw detection) → marking → storage precision The tube is made of steel ingots or solid tube blanks through perforation to make capillary tubes, and then made by hot rolling, cold rolling or cold drawing. The specifications of precision tubes are expressed in millimeters of outer diameter * wall thickness. galvanized square pipe are divided into hot rolled and cold rolled (dial) galvanized square pipe.
Hot-rolled galvanized square pipe are divided into general steel pipes, low and medium pressure boiler steel pipes, high pressure boiler steel pipes, alloy steel pipes, stainless steel pipes, petroleum cracking pipes, geological steel pipes and other steel pipes. Cold rolled (dial) precision tubes include general steel pipes, low and medium pressure boiler steel pipes, high pressure boiler steel pipes, alloy steel pipes, stainless steel pipes, petroleum cracking pipes, and other steel pipes, as well as carbon thin-walled steel pipes, alloy thin-walled steel pipes, Rusty thin-walled steel pipes and special-shaped steel pipes. The outer diameter of hot-rolled seamless pipe is generally greater than 32mm, the wall thickness is 2.5-200mm, the diameter of cold-rolled precision pipe can reach 6mm, the wall thickness can reach 0.25mm, the outer diameter of thin-walled pipe can reach 5mm, and the wall thickness is less than 0.25mm. Higher precision than hot rolled dimensions.
Quality Control
How to inspect galvanized square pipe quality?
1. Elemental detection can apply analytical chemistry and chemical composition analysis. Chemical composition analysis samples are divided into molten samples, steel ingots, drill cuttings, and pipe fittings. The molten samples are generally analyzed by instruments and equipment, and the finished product tube samples are analyzed by chemical composition analysis and single-piece analysis.
2. Specification and shape inspection. The inspection content includes the thickness, diameter, length, refractive index, ellipticity, inclination of the hole edge, blunt edge, cross-section profile and so on.
3. Eddy current flaw detection, magnetic particle flaw detection, magnetic flux leakage detection, infiltration flaw detection. Among them, the infiltration detection is limited to the flaw detection of the surface of the seamless steel pipe, and the magnetic particle detection, magnetic leakage detection and eddy current detection are limited to the detection of ferromagnetic raw materials. Eddy current testing is particularly sensitive to point defects, while the other inspection methods are particularly sensitive to cracks.
4. Organic chemical function test Physical property experiment, hydropower experiment and erosion experiment at normal temperature or a certain temperature. The main uses of seamless pipes are widespread. The general main purpose seamless pipe is cold rolled by general carbon steel, low alloy steel or alloy tool steel, with the largest number of productions. The key is used to convey the fluid mechanics pipelines or structural parts.
5. Performance test includes deformation test, ring tension test, bulge test, and bending test.
6. Metallographic analysis includes low output power and high power detection.
