Cold heading steel wire rod AISI 10B21 in coil
Application: It is suitable for manufacturing small and medium sized carburizing and nitriding parts which are not important in automobile, tractor and general machinery manufacturing industry, such as handbrake shoes, lever shaft, gearbox speed fork, transmission passive gear and camshaft on tractor, suspension equalizer shaft, equalizer inner and outer bushing, etc.

Types and features:
Cold heading steel includes high quality carbon steel, alloy structural steel, duplex steel, bearing steel and stainless steel. According to its production process line, cold heading steel can be divided into non-heat treatment type, tempered type, non-tempered type and case hardening type. The fasteners below grade 6.8 are mostly made of non-heat treatment type medium carbon and low carbon cold heading steel, and the finished fasteners need not be quenched and tempered. High strength fasteners, steel is usually in the quenched and tempered medium carbon steel or alloy steel, carbon products fasteners for quenching tempering processing, also can choose non quenched and tempered steel, boron steel, F - M dual phase steel or low carbon martensitic steel surface hardening steel for low carbon steel and low alloy steel (ML18A, M120Cr, etc.), mainly used in the manufacture of self-drilling screws and fastening screws, finished product screw need to the carburizing, nitriding surface hardening treatment.

Quality Requirements:
Cold heading steel requires high quality of steel, so the continuous casting technology with electromagnetic stirring and furnace refining is widely used.
