Introduction

S8 is an IP65 grade 8-inch rugged Android tablet which is designed to withstand rough handling, like outdoor or in-vehicle harshest environment use. As for its CPU and OS, S8 is powered by Rockchip RK3288W ARM* Cortex™-A17 quad-core with Android 7.1 Nougat system or Linux (Ubuntul8.04). It also integrates optional modules like WiFi, 4G ITE/3G cellular; Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet for data transmission and NFC for identification. Meanwhile for in-vehicle use, it has functional interfaces such as RS232, RS422, USB host, etc, which is suitable for many applications such as fleet management, public transit, mining, precision farming, logistics and industrial control etc.
