What is Corten Steel Pipe?
This Corten Steel Pipes is corrosion resistant steel, that left uncoated develops an outer layer patina. This patina protects the steel from additional corrosion. We also offer the same in different grades and specifications such as CORTEN A, CORTEN B, ASTM A423 GRADE 1, ASTM A847, ASTM A588, S355JOW, S355JOWP, S355J2W,
S355J2WP, ASTM A709-50W,
and so on.
Price of Corten Steel Tubes is quite reasonable across the market. Also known as weathering steel, it is a group of steel alloys which were developed to eliminate the need for painting, and form a stable rust-like appearance if exposed to the weather for several years. The anticorrosive properties of weather resistant steel pipes are better than those of other structural steels in many applications. The enhanced weather resistance is based on the oxide layer, i.e. patina. The use of uncoated weather-resistant steel tubes in steel structures saves surface treatment costs.
Mainly used for: economizer, air preheater, heat exchanger and evaporator in high sulfur flue gas, used to resist condensation corrosion of sulfur-containing flue gas. Excellent resistance to sulfur ions, hydrochloric acid and other acid corrosion.
