The thickness of cones shall be standard to ensure it is strong enough to bear the loads transfer through steel pipes and the bolt balls
The welding process test should be carried out first for the weld work of cone and steel pipe. After passing the weld technical test, a large amount of cone welding is allowed.
Usually the cone is difficult to be hot dip galvanization, thermal zinc spraying is acceptable.
It’s necessary to do UT inspection for the weld work of cones.
