Updated pneumatic tooth brake CBM for robot arm
As usually we know the normal releasing caliper disc brake and pneumatic negative friction brake, they are both of friction structure. But for the robot arm, it needs the normal locked brake with tooth structure, it is safe and light for this robot arm fixing. In view of this requirement, Handong design and made this updated pneumatic tooth brake CBM based on traditional friction brake.
CBM Air shaft normal braking tooth brake is also a type of spring applied air release brake. As usually, it is used in mechanical arm, robot, joint for fixing and stopping.
CBM tooth and tooth brake working thoery is similar with HABB spring engagement brake. Normally, braking springs compressed piston end tooth and hollow shaft tube end tooth, brake is in braking status. After supplying air pressure, piston moves towards to and compresses braking springs in the direction of fixed base spline, both ends of tooth separated, brake released.
Following is the main characters of CBM pneumatic tooth brake:
1. Use two ends of tooth engagement for braking, not easy slippage, braking large torque and no damage.
2. Braking and releasing can be finished in constant, can reach exact orientation.
3. Two ends of tooth use special process technology, high strength, good abrasion and long service life.
4. Normal braking design.
This is a new type of tooth and tooth brake, it is suitable for slow or standstill connecting, after connecting, fast rotating is available.
