Description
The molybdenum disc, also known as molybdenum base plate, molybdenum substrate, features excellent electric and thermal conductivity, lower thermal expansion coefficient, higher bending strength, and so on.

Application
Molybdenum discs are widely used as contact materials in silicon controlled rectifiers' diodes, transistors and thyristors (GTO'S). Due to its lower cost and weight, molybdenum substrates are now accepted as the first choice for power semiconductor devices other than in specialist applications.
