Forged flanges are invented and produced on the basis of cast steel flanges, and their strength is much higher than that of cast steel flanges.
The forged flange is a part where the pipe and the pipe are connected to each other, and is connected to the pipe end. There are holes in the forged flange, and the bolts tightly connect the two flanges. The forged flanges are sealed with gaskets. Forged flange pipe fittings can be made by casting (not shown in the picture), and can also be formed by screwing or welding. A flange connection (flange, joint) consists of a pair of flanges, a gasket, and several bolts and nuts. The gasket is placed between the sealing surfaces of the two flanges. After tightening the nut, the specific pressure on the gasket surface will deform when it reaches a certain value, and fill up the unevenness on the sealing surface to make the connection tight.
The flange connection is a detachable connection. According to the connected components can be divided into container flanges and pipe flanges. According to the structure type, there are integral flanges, looper flanges and threaded flanges. Common integral flanges include flat welding flanges and butt welding flanges. The flat welding forged flange has poor rigidity and is suitable for pressure p4MPa. Butt welding flanges are also known as high neck flanges. They have greater rigidity and are suitable for high pressure and temperature situations.
There are three types of forged flange sealing surfaces: flat sealing surfaces, suitable for occasions with low pressure and non-toxic medium; concave and convex sealing surfaces, suitable for occasions with slightly higher pressure; tongue and groove sealing surfaces, suitable for flammable, Explosive, toxic media and places with high pressure.
