Ti Grade 5 -----Titanium Alloy (Ti-6Al-4V) (6% aluminum, 4% vanadium)
----- One of the most used titanium alloy is an alpha-beta alloy containing 6% Al and 4% V, due to its excellent combination of corrosion resistance, strength and toughness characteristics. It behaves well in forging and has excellent ductility and toughness in the annealed condition. Because of its low sensibility to notching effects and its excellent resistance to cavitations, Ti Gr.5 is suitable for any mechanical application and pressure vessels.

Titanium Alloy Gr 5 Ti6Al4V (Ti64) is the most widely used titanium alloy which is also heat treatable. Its high strength, low weight and corrosion
resistance gives broad applications. The largest market for titanium Grade 5 is the airline industry. The alloy can by heat treatment, providing even greater strength. In addition to the aerospace industry the alloy is used for medical, chemical process equipment, automotive and marine applications.
