PTFE SEALING TAPE – HELPING TO SEAL THE JOINT WITHOUT HARDENING
PTFE Sealing Tape is a Teflon film tape commonly used in plumbing for sealing pipe threads. The tape is sold cut to specific widths and wound on a spool, making it easy to wind around pipe threads.
It has an expanded network composed of superfine fibers and joints. The combination of flexibility, high longitudinal strength, and easy deforming ability in the transverse direction makes expanded PTFE unsintered tape very suitable for packing and thread sealing applications.
It is widely used by plumbers for General Water Plumbing applications.
TYPES
White PTFE sealing tape. (Suitable for low pressure, air, water and hydraulic applications. Particularly suited for plastic fittings.)
Yellow PTFE sealing tape. (It is designed and manufactured for natural gas, propane, butane, water, oil and chemical lines.)
Pink PTFE sealing tape. (Suitable for water lines, sewage lines and sprinkler systems.)
Green PTFE sealing tape. (Extra processing makes this degreased tape suitable for Oxygen use.)
Gold PTFE sealing tape. (Thickest and densest PTFE tape for chemical applications where high quality sealing is imperative.)
PTFE tape for stainless & aluminum. (An added feature of our stainless steel thread sealing PFTE tape is the well above average thickness and density ensuring effective seals.)

Thickness: 0.0025" to 0.0035".
Elongation: > 100%.
Tensile strength: 15 N/mm2.
Temperature range: -450 °F to +500 °F (-268 °C to +260 °C) PTFE is completely stable up to +500 °F or +260 °C. Decomposition is slow up to 750 °F or 400 °C.
Pressure rating: 10,000 psi or 69,000 kPa.
Density: 0.4 g/cm3.
Color: white, yellow, pink, green, gold, gray.
