1. Usage and characteristics
Corona proof ring is mainly used on the ADSS cable which is installed with electric power transmission line and whose pressure is over 220KV. Since cable and preformed rods are in the space of high-strength electric field, the terminal end of preformed armor rods are easily affected by corona discharge which can threat cable's safe operation. Corona proof ring can greatly improve the status of the electric field and decrease the corona electric erosion to the cable and extend cable's life.
