Product profile
All-powerful waterjet cutter utilizes intensifier to pressurize common filtered-water to 100-400 MPa in a split second, then water pressure converted into kinetic energy by a energy converter, and 0.8 mm tiny beam spouting out at a speed of 800-1000m/s. Water cutter can be used to cut all kinds of metals, nonmetallic and composites. It is characterized by small kerf, high precision, excellent edge quality, no chemical or thermal transformation and no dross. Presently, water cutter is widely applied to cutting structural ceramics, stone, glass and semi finishing for metal plates. It uses clean energy and consumable material so that it does not influence operator's body and work surroundings at all. Its main character is easy to operate and maintain long useful life of components, small dosage of consumable materials, high cutting efficiency and little scraps. Thus, you can lower production cost and get more profit by saving manpower, time and materials.
Characteristics of waterjet
1 It can cut any complex and flat figures under control of CNC device.
2 High pressure components are of high quality and spare parts are cheap. Consequently, maintenance cost is lowered.
3 Reduce setting time and fixture cost.
4 You can finish drilling holes and cutting with one machine, reduce cutting cost.
5 It does not cause heat effect or deformation or tiny cracks.
6 It does not generate poisonous gas so it provide healthier working environment.
7 Smooth incision. You can finish cutting of good edge quality at one time.
8 Narrow kerfs. It can decrease a large amount of scraps, reduce direct manufacturing cost.
9 Low processing cost in unit time. The cost is 25 per hour, including water, electricity, abrasive and depreciation of wearing parts.
10 It can be adjusted easily and quickly according to designs and materials. Shorten time substantially from order to finished products. Then bring you more opportunity and benefit.
The advantages
Ultra-high pressure waterjet offer several important advantages over other forms of cutting.
(1)Compared with laser cutting:
1. Waterjet can cut brass, aluminum and other emissive materials.
2. No heat energy, no combustion and no thermal effect.
3. Smooth kerf and no dross
4. Easy to change cutting materials. You do not need to change gas, focus and other objects. The only thing changed is cutting speed.
5. It is difficult to maintain laser equipment. Correspondingly, high staff payment is needed. Whereas waterjet is relative cheap in every aspect.
6. Price advantage. You only need a half or one third of the price of laser equipments to own a waterjet.
(2)Compared with linear cutting
Linear cutting is definitely accurate, but it is really slow. It need conducting materials and cause thermal effect.
(3)Compared with voltaic arc and flame cutting
Obviously, they belong to hot working and cause thermal effect. Relatively, waterjet are good at surface treatment. There is no dross on the back side of work piece. Second processing is unnecessary and arrangement spacing of cutting figures can be narrowed down to reduce material cost.
