WXA100-ZRG rainfall sensor
The piezoelectric rain sensor measures the weight of a single raindrop and calculates rainfall. The raindrop receives the effect of raindrop weight and air resistance during the landing process.When reaching the ground, the speed is a constant speed. According to P=mv, the impact weight can be obtained by measuring the impact, and then the continuous rainfall amount can be obtained.
Piezoelectric rain sensors have no mechanical parts,therefore more robust,sensitive and reliable than other rain gauges.
