The advantages of gate valve are as follows:
1. Small flow resistance. The internal medium channel of the valve body is straight, the medium is straight flow, and the flow resistance is small.
2. It is easier to open and close. Compared with the globe valve, the movement direction of the gate is perpendicular to the flow direction of the medium, whether open or closed.

5. The medium can flow in any direction on both sides and is easy to install. The gate valves are symmetrical on both sides.

7. The sealing surface is easy to wear, affecting the service life. When opening and closing, the two sealing surfaces of the gate and the seat are sliding against each other, which is easy to produce abrasion and wear under the action of medium pressure, which can affect the sealing performance and shorten the service life.
8. The price is more expensive. The contact sealing surface is more, the processing is more complicated, especially the sealing surface of the gate block is not easy to process, and the parts are more. Simple form, short structure length, good manufacturing process, wide application range.
