In industrial applications, more and more complex movements require the use of twisted or three-dimensional flexible cables, and require these cables to have a similar service life when used in straight-line towline systems.
The core, twist, shield and sheath material must be able to withstand the bending forces generated during bending and the radial pressure changes caused by torsional motion. For this reason, different "soft" structural elements such as viscose fibers, PTFE elements, or other filler elements are used in highly flexible robotic cables to absorb torsional forces.
Applications:
Torsion cable for robotic systems, automatic handling equipment and for mechanical, no special changes. Torsion cables can be used indoors and outdoors. Torsional cables have areas where corrosive mineral oil is leaking and where the cables are exposed to high mechanical stresses.
