BN-S300 Solid CBN Insert Fine Milling Engine Block achieve high linear speed
Engine Block, as the base of the engine, it required high on the precision and surface quality, for example, side Flatness need within0.03mm, Cylinder roundness will be within0.004mm, and the Verticality will be within0.03mm, Surface Roughness require Ra1.6. With the increasing competition on this industry, traditional cutting tools(carbide insert, ceramic cutters and coating carbide insert) can’t satisfy all the requirements . Many manufacturers can only use international brand (Seco, Sandvik, Sumitomo,ect) cbn insert, but it costs so high. So manufacturers are searching other cutting tools which can replace international cbn inserts, and reduce the tool costs.
Specific for milling and boring engine block with cast iron materials, Halnn launched many cbn grades, not only can realize high speed milling process, but also can reduce the tool costs.
(1) Milling Process: Halnn recommend Solid CBN Insert BN-S300, obvious process efficiency, stable cutting performance, can replace Seco and other brand CBN.
(2) Boring Process: We recommend BN-S300,BNK30 and BN-K20 Brazed PCBN Insert, it has stable performance and has been widely used in Engine Industry.
(3) Chamfering process: It can be made depending on the customers’ requirements, the cutting performance will be stable .
