Ball mill is widely used for grinding ores and rocks in metal and non-metal mine, building material field.
The mainbody of the ball mill is a low-speed rotary cylinder mounted on two large bearings horizontally. The ball mill’s rotary part is driven at reducing speed by motor through speed reducer and gearweheel or by low-speed synchronous motor through gearwheel. Inside the cylinder feed proper grinding medium-steel balls. The medium will be lifted to certain height under the action of centrifugal force and friction and drop or fall. The material to grind is fed to the cylinder in succession and crushed by grinding medium, then discharged through overflow and ontinual feeding force, and enter the next procedure.
The main bearing of mill with cylinder diameter of 900-2100mm adopts the sphere tile bearing, and totally-enclosed 120° rocker bearing with self-aligning is used for cylinder diameter of 2700mm or above. High-lead low-hardness Babbit Metal is used, and cooling water pipe is buried under it, bearing has static pressure structure and high-low pressure lubricant oil station is used. The main axis is sealed with piston ring with the outside and get better result through rubber strip and grease. Ball mill’s construction adopts gearwheel apex seal and automatic spray lubrication.
In the large-scale mill mount low-speed driving device to make the main engine get the rotation speed of 0.15r/min for jack-over, overhaul or slack of load, and jack-up device is equipped for jacking up the rotation part during overhauling.
