Unniaxial Geogrid

Unniaxial geogrid is composed of polypropylene and high density polyethylene and is shaped by extrusion and extension. Therefore, it has a very strong unilateral intensity and durability and a very strong side restriction to the earth material. It is mainly used in rib-added walls and slopes, bridge paltforms, highways, railways and rib-added structures of airports

Construction Guideline

1.Set up a grounwork and construct according to the desinged wall system. If prefabricated reinforcing steel –bar boards are used,normally the thickness is 12 to 15 cm to be supported on the concrete groundwork, with the width not bigger than 30cm, thickness not less than 20cm and covering depth not less than 60cm in order to avoid the expension affection caused by frozen groundwork.
2.Dig and level off the groundwork as required in design, with soft woil to be dolidated or repalced to required density and a little higher than the wall surface.
3.The main strength of ribs have to be installed in a vertical direction against the wall and fixed by a pin.

4.When the filling is done by machines, there must be a minimum distance of 15cm between the wall and the rib material. The soil has to be as thick as 15 to 20 cm after consolidation.
5. The wall has to be wrapped in earthwork cloth in construction so as to preserve soil .
