1. Features
The double column VTL model C5225-4 series is a super rigid machine with big machining capacities, stable structure and high machining efficiency. The machine is equipped with two vertical tool heads with high precision digital readout system (DRO) fitted on the right tool head. Electric encoder together with electromagnetic valves is integrated into the gear box. Gears are made of 40 Cr steel and precision ground for high precision and low machine noise. Electrics are controlled by high reliable PLC.
The machine is designed and built to meet modern machining requirements of high speed cutting tools and carbide cutters on workpieces of ferrous, non-ferrous and other materials.
Functions: 1. I.D. turning, O.D. turning, end-facing,
2. cone turning,
3. grooving, parting / cut off,
4. drilling, boring, reaming,
5. curve cutting, etc.
2. Machine Body
The main body of the machine is made of high rigid resin castings with thermal stress relief aging treatment. Small cast iron bodies are hardened with high temperature. All the steel parts are thermal refined.
3. Machine main structure
High torque AC 55kW main motor is adopted for driving the working table through gear box. 16 speeds are achieved on the table. Double row cylindrical roller bearing is equipped under the table. The cone inner ring of the bearing can eliminate the radial clearance effectively for high precision and stable machining at high speed.
4. Hydrostatic working table
Hydrostatic table adopted with constant flow synchronous pump features:
a). low friction for permanent life of table,
b). heavy load capacity on table,
c). oil film between machine base and table absorbs cutting vibration & loads,
d). a safety system controls the hydrostatic pressure for optimum safety.
5. Special configurations (optional)
The machine can be equipped with the following special configurations to meet more requirements:
a). Guarding,
b). Coolant system including pump & tank,
c). DRO unit (2-axis DRO on right tool head),
d). Chip conveyor & trolley,
e). Oil Skimmer,
f). CNC system,
g). Customized electrical power supply,
h). Customized column or cross rail travels.
