Product Feature:
Potassium carbonate may be monocliniccrystal,white powder,granular crystal or prill.Relative density: 2.662 and the melting point is at 891 degree C.Iteasily soluble in water forming a slightly alkaline solution.it is insoluble inalcohol and ether.It is strong hygroscopicity.It easily cakes and turns intopotassium bicarbonate through absorbing carbon dioxide when exposed to the airfor a long time.
Applications:
Potassium Carbonate is used as raw materials inmanufacturing electro tube, TV kinescope, computer display. It isapplied in optical glass improving clarity, strength and refractiveindex. It is also applied in electrode avoiding electric arc breaking-offduring welding. It is used to produce food additives like potassiumsorbate, monopotassium phosphate, etc. Potassium Carbonate isfoliar spray fertilizer and a constituent of compound fertilizer. In dyeingindustry, it is used to produce vat dyestuff and discharge of icedyeing. It is absorbent removing hydrogen sulfide and carbondioxide; dry powder extinguisher mixed with soda; auxiliary rawmaterial for production alcohol and acetone; and anti-aging agent inrubber production. Its solution is used in boiling and scouring of cottonand wool's degreasing. In addition, it is also used in manufacture ofprintingink, photograph-drug, polyester, explosives, electroplating, tanning, ceramic, buildingmaterials, crystals and medicine.
Handling andstorage:
Store in dry ventilated house away frommoisture.Don't store in goods yards or expose to the air.Protect the materialfrom rain when loading and unloading. Be sure to keep from contaminant.Avoidhandling and transporting together with acid substances. In the event of afire,use water as extinguishing agent.
