Seamless (SMLS) pipe is formed by drawing a solid billet over a piercing rod to create the hollow shell. Historically seamless pipe was regarded as withstanding pressure better than other types, and was often more easily available than welded pipe. Advances since the 1970's in materials, process control and non-destructive testing allow correctly specified welded pipe to replace seamless in many applications.
We have around 30, 000 tons STOCK of steel pipes and tubes, including alloy, carbon and stainless steel, origin from both domestic and foreign mills.
The main steel grades: ASTM A335 Gr.P11, P22, P91, P5, P9.; ASTM A213 Gr.T11, T22, T91, T9, T5; ASTM A106B/A53B/API5L B and so on.
Sizes: 1/2"-24" O.D. x 2-60 mm. thickness
Carbon steel, also called plain-carbon steel, is steel where the main interstitial alloying constituent is carbon. The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) defines carbon steel as: "Steel is considered to be carbon steel when no minimum content is specified or required for chromium, cobalt, molybdenum, nickel, niobium, titanium, tungsten, vanadium or zirconium, or any other element to be added to obtain a desired alloying effect; when the specified minimum for copper does not exceed 0.40 percent; or when the maximum content specified for any of the following elements does not exceed the percentages noted: manganese 1.65, silicon 0.60, copper 0.60."
