Description:
Shot peening is a specialized blasting process that bombards a metallic work piece with a round abrasive, typically steel shot, glass beads, or ceramic shot, thereby compressing the surface. This compression can greatly improve the strength and fatigue life of the part. An analogy would be the blacksmith that hammers a sword to increase its strength.
Application:
used for surface cleaning, dust removing, and surface intensification of each kind of middle and small scale casting, forging and job. It is suitable for different production scale, can be stand-alone use and many units can also be used in conjunction with the continuous conveyor components, composing the production of clean-up lines. It is mainly applicable to sandblasting of large and heavy workpieces such as mold, stone carvings, rims, etc.
