Drive-In pallet racks are the most economical solution for storing products that have low turnover levels and a high number of pallets per SKU. Drive-In pallet racking provides one of the highest density storage systems available, with up to 85% storage increase over standard selective pallet racks. This back-to-back racking design allows for fewer forklift aisles and is managed by the last-in/first-out system. Roll formed and structural drive in rack are manufactured to accommodate many applications.
Description:
This system is base on the storage by accumulation principle, which enables the highest use of available space in terms of both area and height.
Drive-in racking is designed for the storage of homogenous products. It accommodates a large number of pallets for each SKU.
Two management systems are available: the drive-in system, with only one access aisle, and the drive-through system, with access to the load from both sides of the racking.
The system is frequently used in cold stores (refrigeration and freezing) which require maximum use of space for the storage of products in a controlled temperature.
Applications:
Because of its large storage density, its rate of floor space utilization is higher.
Often used for refrigerator, food, tobacco and the high cost of storage space in the warehouse
