UNE 36011 C 45 K, SAE J 403-AISI 1045/1042
2. C45 Chemical composition:
C :0.42-0.45 Si:0.15-0.35 Mn:0.5-0.8 S :≤0.025 P :≤0.025 Cr:0.2-0.4
3.C45 Mechanical properties:
Tensile Strength σb(MPa) : ≥750 (rolled) ; ≥540(annealed)
Yield Strength σ0.2 : ≥460 (rolled) ; ≥ 330 (annealed)
Elongation δ5(%): ≥18 (rolled) ; ≥30 (annealed)
Hardness : ≤58 (rolled); ≤50(annealed)
4.Delivery state: normalizing, tempering,annealing.(this should be stated in the contract clearly.)
5. C45 steel plate is one mainly of high carbon steel. EN 10083 C45 steel plate is for quenching and tempering. Technical delivery conditions for non alloy steels,C45 is for general engineering purposes.
