C:≤ 0.24 Si:0.15-0.4 P:≤ 0.035 S:≤ 0.035 Cu:≤0.35 Ni:≤ 0.25 Cr:≤0.25 Mo: ≤0.08
Mn: 0.7-1.35(thickness between 6-38.1mm); 1-1.6(thickness between 38.11-50.8 mm)
2. ASTM A537 CL1 Mechanical properties:
Tensile Strength σb(MPa) : 4 85-620
Yield Strength σ0.2 : ≥345
Elongation δ5(%) : ≥ 18 (GL=8(200)); ≥ 22(GL=2(50))
3.Application:
A 537 CL1 steel plates are engineered to be used in pressure vessel applications.A 537 CL1 steel plates shall be normalized in all of thickness.A 537 CL1 is a normalised steel which is heat treated and as a consequence displays greater yield and tensile strength than the more standard ASTM A516 grades.
