Models ANS20, AND20 Node Interface Unit(for RIO, Cabinet Installation Type)

 GENERAL

A node consists of the Node Interface Unit (NIU) and Process I/O Unit (IOU). The NIU offers an interface function to send analog and contact I/O signals from a field to the Field Control Unit (FCU) via an RIO bus,and it offers the function to supply power to the IOU.

ANS20, AND20 is a Cabinet Installation Type NIU,which is used for single and redundant RIO bus. As for 19" Rack Mountable Type NIU (Model ANS50, AND50) refer to GS33Q06K30-31E.The IOU consists of I/O module for connecting process signals, and I/O module nest to store the module. For details, refer to “I/O Module Nests I/O Modules (GS 33Y06K40-31E).”

Vertical Type Structure: Mounted on the FCU (with Cabinet) or I/O expansion cabinet.

Card Configuration:

Communication interface unit (2 cards when duplexed).

Power Supply Unit (2 cards when duplexed):

For supplying power to the IOU.

Installation Restrictions

Max. of 5 I/O Units for one node interface unit. However, when mounting on the front side of the FCS

cabinet, then max. is 4 owing to space restrictions.
