GENERAL DESCRIPTION The isolated 4 channel RTD, Resistance, Potentiometer input module DAT3014 is a Din Rail mount I/O Module. The input can be RTD, resistance and potentiometer. The DAT3014 converts the analog signal to a 16 bit digital format. The data is transmitted by the MODBUS RTU/ASCII protocol on RS-485. The DAT3014 is equipped with two Watch-Dog timers. In case of alarm, the outputs are forced automatically to a fail safe condition. The digital outputs can also be used as trip alarms of the input analog signal enabling local control. The DAT3014 is accurate to 0.1% full scale and has less than 0.01%/'f thermal drift. For resistance and RTD's sensors it is possible to program the cable compensation for 3 or 4 wires. It is possible to set the minimum and maximum values of the input and output ranges in any point of the scale, keeping the minimum span shown in the table below. Also high burn out alarm or low burn out alarm is selectable. The DAT3014 is isolated between the power supply and the input/output to 2000V, eliminates the effects of any ground loops and allows the use of the transmitter in heavy environmental conditions found in industrial applications. The DAT3014 is in compliance with the standard 89/336/CEE on the Electromagnetic Compatibility. Suitable for the following RTD. Pt100 Pt1000 Ni100 Ni1000 The DAT3014 is housed in a plastic enclosure of 17.5 mm thickness suitable for DIN rail mounting in compliance with EN-50022 and EN-50035 standards.
