Mechanical filter:
Mechanical filter is one kiln of pretreatment equipment used in industrial water treatment. The raw water of industrial water treatment usually is city tap water, including some residual impurity of fine particle and suspended matter. These residual impurity will damage main equipment of electrodialyzer, reverse-osmosis equipment ,ion exchange device in water treatment.
The role of mechanical filter
When raw water go through mechanical filter, due to action of contact flocculation, adsorption and storage by filter medium (such as quartz sand or active carbon etc), makes the redidual impurity been adsorbed and storaged. The mechanical filter can reduce the turbidity and residual chlorine of raw water.
Mechanical filter classification
The diameter of mechanical filter is from 300mm to 3000mm, according to diameter, it is divided into two type, big filters and small filters. The diameter is less than 1000mm is small filter, diameter is over 1000mm is big filter. The output of this kind of filter is 0.5-80t/h.
