Advantages and disadvantages:
Ultra-filtration technology is easily to be supplied and the cost is low. Meanwhile, it doesn't need any chemical reagents. As a result, the temperature and the PH value of the material can't be changed. In the preparation of biological macromolecules, the UF is mainly used for the desalination of biological macromolecules, dehydration and enrichment. Ultra filtration also has certain limitations. It can not be directly changed into dry powder formulation. For the protein solution, generally we can only get 10-15% concentrations.
